- The article focuses on an apology issued by Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar for insinuating that U.S. support for Israel is driven by money a pro-Israel lobbying group. Her comments on Tweeter was condemned by fellow Democrats that included Speaker Nancy Pelosi and had exposed tensions among Democrats. Omar also commented on the influence of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (Aipac) on U.S. politics.
