Abstract

The article talks about the need for measures to grow remittances in Pakistan. Remittances from citizens living in foreign countries is led by India. It notes the hundi system in Pakistan for remittance transfer and its utilization for money laundering and illegal funds transfer. Remittance transactions through banks is also presented.
