Abstract
- Highlights • We investigated the relationship between 17 cytokines and S100B as a surrogate endpoint of fetal brain damage. • The values of umbilical artery pH, BE, and IL-1β had significant associations with cord S100B levels. • IL - 1β had an independent and the strongest causal link to high concentrations of cord S100B.
