Abstract
- In response to concerns over possible problems related to political activities on college and university campuses, the American Council of Education (ACE) developed a guideline memorandum on these "potential entanglements." Its recommendations are based on court rulings, tax law and federal election law. The ACE paper suggests a variety of activities that are questionable, or that a college or university might prohibit in efforts to avoid political entanglement or legal problems. The American Council on Education memo also looks at the possible political involvements of faculty and staff.
