Abstract
- The article offers information on a study on the treatment of primary adrenal insufficiency with basal steroid replacement and supplemental glucocorticoids during periods of medical stress. Topics discussed include the difference between primary and central adrenal insufficiency, the need for supplemental glucocorticoids for pediatric patients with adrenal insufficiency, hypothalamic/pituitary injury from tumor growth, surgical resection, and/or radiation therapy, and logit link method.
