Abstract

The article discusses Article 3 of the New York Uniform Commercial Code which deals with negotiable instruments such as promissory notes, and it mentions what the author refers to as the ambiguity that is associated with mortgage foreclosure-related assignment requirements. Bundled mortgages are addressed, along with New York's failure to adopt various amendments to the Uniform Commercial Code. Mortgage payment default and New York taxation are assessed.
