New Discovery of Upper Crustal High‐ and Low‐Velocity Belts and High‐Velocity Core in the Tarim Basin.

The article presents a study on the basement nature and velocity structure of the Tarim Basin in China. The study assesses the earthquake events detected by seismic stations withn 74°-90°E longitude and35°-42°N latitude and identify velocity anomilies beneath the Tarim Basin. Result shows high-velocity core and high- and low-velocity belts in the basin's upper crust.
