Construcción identitaria en África. Un análisis desde los estudios de identidad, poder y agencia.

This article analyzes the reality of identity construction in Africa starting from some contributions of identity studies. It is stated that the African identity has been influenced by European colonialism, which imposed profound structural and functional changes in that continent in the political, social, ideological and cultural. In its central structure, the work discusses some contributions about identity, including those of Geertz, Barth and Gimenez; and, in light of these contributions, the identity construction in Africa is analyzed diachronically.
