The article presents a report from a November 15-17, 2018 early modern historiography conference at the Deutsches Historisches Institut historical institute in Rome, Italy on the manufacture of credibility. Topics of presentations delivered included tutorial discourse of the 16th and 17th centuries, atomism and cartesianism in the 17th century, and the analysis of Aristotelian knowledge in light of new psychological approaches.
