Abstract

The paper presents the research of tension process of elastomeric fiber gained from the Helical Auxetic Yarn structure. Experimental tests of static tension were carried out, and then used for the numerical model validation. Numerical analyses were conducted in the LS-Dyna software using the Finite Element Method. MAT_24_PIECEWISE_LINEAR_PLASTICITY material model, in which a curve from experimental research was implemented, was used. The adopted numerical model showed good compatibility with the results of experimental tests. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
