Abstract: The article focuses on the glucocorticoids being a risk factor causing osteoporosis in patients with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) receiving steroids. It talks about the Good Practice Paper compiled by the British Society for Haematology (BSH) consisting of guideline for the prevention of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis (GIO) during the treatment of patients with ITP.
