Abstract
- The article presents an update on the military readiness of United Arab Emirates (UAE). The UAE participated in every major U.S.-led coalition operation since the 1991 Gulf War, participated in operations in Afghanistan by sending special forces units to support the security mission in Afghanistan in 2003, and significant role in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region. The other topics discussed includes procurement of equipments for air defence, and special operations of UAE Army.
