Williams, president and chief executive officer (CEO) at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, delivered at The Economic Club of New York on March 6, 2019. Topics discussed include a model of measuring r-star which is the neutral or natural rate of interest, the g-star which is how economists describe the trend growth, sustainable growth or potential economic growth and reasons for the decline in r-star.
