Abstract

The article discusses a study that screens the key toll-like receptor (TLR) gene that plays a functional role in lined seahorse brood pouch immune systems. Highlights include the use of qualitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction to detect the expression patterns of nine TLR genes, gene expression patterns after LPS stimulation, and a schematic of TLR2-triggered immune responses in the seahorse brood pouch.
