COMMON FIXED POINT THEOREMS WITH AN APPLICATION IN DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING.

Two common fixed point theorems for a class of contractive mappings are proved in metric spaces. As an application, the existence and uniqueness of solution for a functional equation arising in dynamic programming is given.
