Time of Change.

The author features the operation of the "American Journal of Epidemiology" during his tenure as its editor-in-chief. He explores his journey as the journal's editor as he prepares for his resignation. He discusses some of the topics of papers published in the journal, including chronic disease, epidemiologic methods and nontransmissible diseases. In addition, the author recognizes the contributions of editorial board members, associate editors, reviewers, authors and readers.
