The article offers Nipah virus (NiV) which is emerging paramyxovirus with high mortality threatening to global security. Topics discussed reports of persistence of ebola virus and zika virus in semen of survivors and sexual route of transmission; virus research; nipah virus (NiV) which is emerging as paramyxovirus with high mortality threatening global security; and mentions the Kerala state government, India declared an outbreak of NiV in the Kozhikode district.
