Abstract
- The article offers a case study of 17-year-old male with a past medical history of epilepsy who presented in status epilepticus. Topics discussed patient was maintained on a ventilator after admission due to concern for aspiration pneumonia with subsequent septic shock; mentions the patient underwent treatment for intensive care unit delirium; and includes diagnostic protocols for evaluating foreign-born children for infectious diseases.
