L'enseignement et la recherche en sociologie du travail à l'université de Yaoundé 1 (Sud-Cameroun). État des lieux et perspectives.

The aim of this article is to give a historical and epistemological overview of the teaching and the research in Labor sociology at the University of Yaoundé 1 (UY1), since the spontaneous emergence of this discipline at the former University of Yaoundé (UY) in the academic year 1978-1979. After a brief disciplinary clarification, the author describes, in turn, the situation and the future prospects of the construction of the Labour sociology in this state university. Significant progress has been made in nearly four decades. But, the national and international influence of this disciplinary field necessitates the organization of scientific colloquiums and seminars in order to permit the teacher-cum-researchers to share their knowledge and experience with their colleagues of other universities.
