Abstract
- In order to effectively solve the problem of high concentration of COD and ammonia nitrogen in black and odorous water, a heterotrophic nitrifying bacterium A-2 was screened out, which can simultaneously remove ammonia nitrogen and organic pollutants in water. The removal efficiency of the bacterium A-2 to organic pollutants and ammonia nitrogen in water and its influencing factors were investigated. The results showed that the removal rates of COD and ammonia nitrogen by strain A-2 were 89.1% and 53.2% respectively, and environmental factors such as pH value, inoculation amount, temperature and organic matter concentration could affect the removal efficiency of organic pollutants by strain A-2. When pH value was 8, inoculation amount was 2% and temperature was 27 ℃, strain A-2 could remove C from water. The removal rate of COD can reach more than 80%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
