Abstract
- The article presents some strategies to help balance the roles of school-based speech-language pathologists (SLPs) in the U.S. SLPs are urged to deepen their understanding of the requirements under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). They are advised to obtain input from a variety of data sources and to offer direct services to students in the school district.
