Abstract
- A convenient method for the oxysulfenylation of alkenes using dimethyl sulfoxide/oxalyl chloride is described. Cycloalkenes give trans-adducts stereospecifically. The reactions of styrene are highly regioselective for Markovnikov adducts, whereas aliphatic alkenes lead to anti-Markovnikov adducts mainly. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
