Abstract
- The article looks at the state of housing occupations and related movements in Brazil under the administration of President Jair Bolsonaro who promised to fight corruption and activism in the country as of September 2019. Topics discussed include the arrest of house activists such as Janice Ferreira da Silva, leader of the Homeless Movement of the Center, the uncontrolled growth of building occupations in São Paulo, and views of housing rights advocate Osmar Borges on house rental issues.
