Abstract

The results of numerical simulation of the blast impulse of explosive charges on structural elements are presented. The numerical method was validated against available experimental data describing the blast effect in near-field explosion. Additional experiments on explosive acceleration of steel disks were performed. The effect of blasting conditions (the presence or absence of air, additional reflective surfaces) on the blast impulse was studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
