Abstract

The interesting article by Dandai et al. gave a new perspective on the association between vitamin D deficiency and late-onset neonatal sepsis [[1]]. The most recent Global Consensus on Prevention and Management of Nutritional Rickets in 2016 recommends a different classification system for defining vitamin D status which is evidence-based (Level I evidence, strong recommendation) [[5]].
