Abstract

B Overall Abstract: b The field of psychiatric genetics has witnessed rapid advances in our ability to probe the genetic factors that increase risk for psychiatric disorders such as depression, PTSD, and schizophrenia. This symposium will feature emerging research at the interface of genomics and resilience, highlighting methodological and conceptual distinctions from the study of psychiatric risk. Dr. Stein will then present GWAS data on resilience to combat-related PTSD from the Million Veteran Program, currently the largest single genomic database with linked electronic health record data for psychiatric phenotypes.
