Abstract

In the case of anonymous LD, non-directed donors do not receive any tangible benefit as directed donors could from helping a family member in need of an organ. In 2 cases, altruistic donors gave a part of their liver after having previously donated a kidney, additional donors are currently being investigated for subsequent kidney-liver donation. 3 J.G.
