Abstract
- With advances in mobile health (mHealth) technology and growing ownership of smartphones, mHealth applications have great potential to support patients' self‐management of chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Informative consumer reviews on app stores (e.g., Google Play) are a useful source of information for app developers to understand users' needs and for users to select a pertinent app over similar alternatives. This poster reports preliminary findings of a study that explores factors affecting the informativeness of consumer reviews using a feature‐centered rating scale. The results show that consumer ratings and the length of consumer reviews are both correlated with informativeness. These findings will contribute to filtering informative reviews for future in‐depth analyses of app features. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
