Abstract

Perovskite-type oxides, due to their structural stability and special physical and chemical properties, have become important topics in the field of catalytic materials research. This article focuses on the effect of γ-ray irradiation on the catalytic activity of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3. X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR) were used to analyze the physical and chemical properties of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3. Finally, H 2 O 2 catalytic decomposition and toluene catalytic combustion experiments were performed to verify the activity of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3 before and after irradiation. The results show that after γ-ray irradiation, the activity of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3 on catalytic hydrogen peroxide decomposition was reduced, and the activity of catalytic toluene combustion was enhanced. • The effects of different radiation dose on lattice oxygen in LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3 were analyzed by XPS. • The effects of different radiation dose on the oxidative capacity of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3 were analyzed by TPR. • It was found that γ-ray irradiation enhance the catalytic activity of LaCoO 3 and BaPbO 3 in toluene combustion.
