Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to propose a low-cost voltage-source-type inverter capable to power regeneration as well as a new PWM control scheme suited for the proposed converter. Another objective of this paper is to propose a switching function suited for the analysis of the proposed PWM control scheme. In implementing PAM (pulse amplitude modulation) control, a thyristor bridge is already installed and therefore the power can be regenerated only by installing additional elements.
