A Ação Popular (AP) nos processos judiciais reunidos pelo Projeto "Brasil: Nunca Mais".

The purpose of this paper is to bring to discussion the scenario of legal actions taken by the Brazilian State and conducted by the Military Justice, after the establishment of the civil-military dictatorship in 1964, that reached the revolutionary organization named Popular Action (Ação Popular), one of the most significant in the Brazilian left wing politics in the 1960s and 1970s. The analysis reviews systematized data of the project "Brazil: never again" (Brasil: nunca mais). To reach this goal, the investigation goes beyond the examination of systematized data available at the proceedings, once the facts registered there were subjected to filters. Besides, there are many cases of detention, torture, death and disappearance that were not submitted to court. It's understood that non official data tell more about the kind of justice in practice by the Brazilian State in those years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
