Abstract
- The article focuses on a 2019 national survey conducted in the U.S. which found that seriously ill Medicare beneficiaries experienced financial hardships as a consequence of the illness. Topics covered include evidence of Medicare's popularity among its beneficiaries, and an assessment of medical care costs on seriously ill beneficiaries and their family and friends.
