Abstract
- Reports that departing Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) director George J. Tenet has told the Congress in a letter that Mohamed Atta, a hijacker involved in the September 11, 2001 attack, would have been unlikely to contact any Iraqi official. Contradiction with continuing assertion by Vice President Dick Cheney that Al Qaeda and Iraq had a cooperative relationship before the terrorist attacks; Written statement by Senator Carl Levin of Michigan that it was President George W. Bush's administration that exaggerated the relations between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda.
