Abstract
- Conjunctivitis is one of the most common infection met in ophthalmology practice, with three major types: bacterial, viral and allergic. Patients with conjunctivitis commonly present with red eyes, ocular irritation, tearing, foreign body sensation, burning, itching and ocular discharge. Symptoms and signs may present unilaterally or bilaterally. If the patient complaints are pain, acute foreign body sensation and photophobia, we have corneal involvement. It is usually highly contagious and the treatment is empirical and supportive. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
