The article focuses on the recognition of people in education who are doing their bit to recruit the next generation engineers. Awards are presented every year to up to 12 teachers who have encouraged students to develop an interest in subjects related to electrical and electronic engineering or manufacturing. As well as a cash prize, presented at a celebration dinner where winners receive a year's free Institution of Electrical Engineers membership. The awards aren't restricted to any particular subject area, but nominees should have displayed high quality in their teaching and encouraged pupils to set themselves high standards in their choices.
