Abstract

The characteristics of deuterated diamond-like carbon (D-DLC) as a neutron mirror was evaluated by ERDA, RBS and neutron reflectivity measurements. The number density of hydrogen in unit area is 1.4–3.2×1016 H/cm2 in D-DLC. This is same with the typical numbers of normal neutron mirrors. It has a good neutron reflectivity with high quality mirror surface and high optical potential. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
