- B Background: b Pancreatoduodenectomy for ampullary carcinoma is performed with curative intent and is associated with increased survival. 63 patients underwent major pancreatic resection for ampullary carcinoma. Post pancreatectomy haemorrhage was found in 6(9.5%) patients while 8(13%) suffered delayed gastric emptying. [Extracted from the article]
