Abstract

B Background: b Major liver resection for perihilar cholangiocarcinoma is associated with an incidence of postoperative liver failure (PLF) of 22-33%. The proposed risk score can be used for selection of patients for PVE, for adequate patient counseling and identification of other modifiable risk factors besides liver volume.
