Abstract
- In this manuscript, we investigate the electronic and magnetic properties of the YFeCrZ (Z = Al, Sb and Sn) quaternary Heusler alloys were investigated by using first-principles calculations and Mont Carlo simulations. The results of the electronic structures show that the YFeCrZ (Z = Al, Sb and Sn) alloys exhibit a half-metallic character. This half-metallic behavior is confirmed by the integral value of the total magnetic moment, which is 2.00 μ B , for the YFeCrAl compound. This is found to follow the Slater Pauling rule. At null temperature (T = 0 K), we performed and illustrated the ground state phase diagrams in different planes of the physical parameters. In fact, we have studied and illustrated the magnetic behavior of the studied system as a function of temperature and the reduced crystal field. Finally, we have presented and discussed the hysteresis cycles as a function external magnetic field. • The Quaternary Heusler YFeCrZ (Z = Al, Sb and Sn) alloys are studied via Ab-initio and Monte Carlo methods. • The Half-metallic behavior of the Quaternary Heusler YFeCrZ (Z = Al, Sb and Sn) has been improved. • The Slater Pauling rule is confirmed by the integral value of the total magnetic moment. • The Ground state study and Monte Carlo simulations are presented and discussed for the Quaternary Heusler alloys.
