LA EFICIENCIA ACADEMICA EN LAS UNIVERSIDADES: PROPUESTA DE UN MODELO PARA SU EVALUACIÓN.

The evaluation of the academic efficiency of the universities is a practice in the institutional evaluation, closely related to the quality and performance of the educational process and a starting point for the decision making that allows drawing the policies for the development of the university system. In this paper, is analyzed the experience in the evaluation of academic efficiency in the Ministry of Higher Education universities, and also, the studies related, carried out in Cuba, are approached with a critical analysis. As a goal, a model is proposed for its evaluation that may contribute to the elevation of its results in MES universities, which represents an alternative to improve the bases to carry it out, which was favorably valued by the experts consulted.
