Por uma educação ambiental crítica no contexto escolar: reflexões a partir das representações dos alunos.

Abstract
- Critical environmental education in the school context has been gaining strength from a collective of thought that suggests the insertion of social, political, ethical, aesthetic, economic and cultural aspects in the debate on the environmental theme, that is, it goes beyond the naturalistic aspect / biological / conservative. In this sense, we have as main general objective to verify that representations students of a class of 9° year have on environment, pointing out the limitations and the potentialities of such representations. We used texts, drawings, class-walk, and a word recall test as a data collection technique. It was noticed that the students relate environment only to the idea of nature, using fauna and flora, preservation, garbage, cleaning and care as key words of these representations, that is, it is still present in the school context the conservative and preservationist conception of environmental education.
