Abstract

In the present paper, we analyze the effects of chemical reaction and mass transfer in the presence of transverse magnetic field for an oscillatory flow through a porous medium along with heat source. The analytical solutions are obtained using series method in covered form. The impact of different dimensionless parameters pertinent to a velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are explored and investigated through graph. The velocity profile decreases when there is an increase in magnetic parameter due to the gravitational pull i.e., Lorentz force. Velocity profiles decreases when there is an increase in Schmidt number Sc, Reynolds number Re. Velocity also increases with increase in Gr and Gc. It’s likewise seen that the temperature θ decreases with imcreases im ω amd imcreases with N, Pe and ∝. Increase in Sc, Kc, ω, increases the species concentration. Nusselt number, Sherwood number and skin friction are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
