Abstract

The article discusses providers' transitioning of youth living with human immunodeficiency virus (YLHIV) and how it can be improved. Topics covered include the recommended steps in the transition process, the need to prepare the pediatric care team for transitioning of the adolescent, and the use of YLHIV's social relationship skills for boosting their confidence and in transition preparation.
