Soluciones constructivas apropiadas para la inserción de nuevas edificaciones en el municipio de Guanabacoa.

The new housing buildings proposed for Guanabacoa are predominantly located outside the urbanized area. This work provides a procedure for evaluating constructive solutions for new works in compact areas, which contributes to the sustainability of the urban regeneration process. Based on the application of theoretical and diagnostic methods and tools, an evaluation procedure is proposed that considers other similar ones used before, complemented by urban and architectural requirements of the study area, and integrated into the technological requirements of construction solutions. The method proposes a system of variables, parameters and indicators to apply at different stages and in the whole. The application of the evaluation method shows that the appropriate solutions for the construction of new housing buildings in compact areas of Guanabacoa are: traditional (hollow mortar block; ceramic hollow vessel and ceramic brick) and EPS-based solutions (Avantec, Cassaforma and Lamcomet).
