Abstract

This study aims to establish a theoretical framework for the critical scene in digital literature, as well as the disclosure of critical attitudes towards this new modern work, as well as aims to preview the scene and monitor its transformations by tracking the Trends of critical movement within its modernist tendency to employ contemporary digital technology and applications, by Previewing traditional literary texts and digital literary texts. To achieve its objectives, the study distinguished between two trends: Digital Criticism and Electronic (Artificial) Criticism, and adhered to a descriptive approach for processing, along with historical tools, and some comparison and stylistic tools. The study ended with a description of the critical scene in the digital literature, highlighting the trends of the critics in two directions: the traditional and the Electronic, and the latest question in this context: Can the machine practice literary criticism?
