Abstract
- A new coordination polymer, namely, [Co2(L)2(H2O)4]n·nH2O (1) (H2L = 5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid), was synthesized via the reaction of H2L and Co(NO3)2·6H2O at pH value of 3.6 under the hydrothermal conditions. In addition, a technique of green hand grinding was carried out to decrease complex 1's particle size, resulting in the formation of nanoscale 1 (denoted as nano 1 hereafter) with ball-like morphology. Furthermore, the prevention and treatment ability of the compound on the Alzheimer's disease (AD) was evaluated and the related mechanism was discussed. First, the animal model AD of was established within mice, then brain weight along with volume was measured after compound treatment. Besides, the content of the Amyloid (Aβ) was detected to reveal the mechanism and the target of the compound. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
