Abstract
- To eliminate the seriously organic pollution problems caused by human activities, the graphene microspheres supported TiO2 (GM-TiO2) are synthesized through new designed nozzle with microchannels. The nozzle is based on gas-liquid microfluidic method, which realizes the mass production of graphene spheres. The yield of GM-TiO2 reaches 1.1L/d which is much higher than traditional microfluidic method. Because of the ball-milling treatment, the TiO2 nanoparticles disperse on the specific diameter of graphene microspheres uniformly and tightly. The porous GM-TiO2 shows great dye decoloration performance, which is attributed to synergistic effect of graphene and TiO2. The maximum decoloration rate of methylene blue by GM-TiO2 is 95%, which is among the highest decoloration rate of graphene based catalysts. Compared to the graphene microspheres, the performance increases 25%. This research develops new method for rapid preparation of GM-TiO2, which shows excellent organic pollution photo degradation property. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
