Abstract

The article discusses the results of a study on the effect of mitochondrial E3 ubiquitin ligase (Mul1) upregulation on the prevalence of ischemia and reperfusion injury in the Sprague-Dawley rat heart. Topics mentioned include the role of Mul1 in the functions of mitochondria, the increase in creatine kinase release, the level of mitochondrial proteins, and the production of reactive oxygen species.
