A literary criticism of the book "Lord of Dark Places," by Hal Bennett, is presented. Topics discussed include the concept of masculinity in the context of religion and the racial identity of the Black people, the inversion of the social, racial, and gender hierarchies in the context of Christianity, and the conflict between Black nationalist and white supremacy.
