Abstract

Objective: The present study aims at the gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC–MS) analysis of one Ayurvedic liver tonic, Devadarvyarishtam. Materials and Methods: Devadarvyarishtam was procured from a standard Ayurvedic vendor from Chennai and was subjected to GC–MS analysis following standard procedures. Results: It was observed that some molecules of extremely important liver tonic function were indicated in the GC–MS report. Conclusion: It is clear from the results that Devadarvyarishtam is a potent liver tonic medicine. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
